Pud Galvin Baseball Card
Baseball history photo: Baseball card featuring Pud Galvin. On October 5, 1888, Galvin became baseball's first 300 game winner, beating the Washington Nationals (NL); 5-1, while pitching for the Pittsburg Alleghenys (NL). Galvin allowed only 4 hits in the game which took 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete. He retired at the end of the 1892 season and achieved a 364-310 career record, appearing with six teams in four professional leagues over 18 seasons.
